A successful camp was held in 2004. Many of the attendees were associated with the Big Brothers & Big Sisters program in central Kansas. After the 2004 season a not for profit board was established (Natural Resources Leadership Camp Inc.) and the program was restructured under the Kansas Association of Conservation Educators.
